In December 2021 we hosted our Local Area Coordination Network Gathering with over 70 of our Network members coming together online to hear from colleagues about developments in 2021 and 2022.

Local Area Coordination Assistant Manager in Swansea, Richard Davies, used this space to share Hugh and Janet’s story who he had been introduced to the previous year. Hugh has dementia, but with Richard walking alongside him, he had rediscovered his love of carpentry.

In this short video, Richard explains how Local Area Coordination enabled Hugh to rediscover a past skill, connect with his community, and allow his wife Janet space to support him with his dementia.
